SERVICES: The body was cremated, and a memorial graveside service will be held at a later date in Caddo, Texas, with John Driggers, Church of Christ minister of Bronte, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Polk was born January 15, 1923 at Caddo. He had been a resident of Pampa for 20 years, moving here from Van Horn. He was married to Virginia L. Boyd for 36 years. He was a pipefitter and worked in gasoline plants. He was a disabled veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps, serving in Italy during World War II. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Presley A. & Jessie Irene Polk, and 2 brothers, Presley Polk Jr., and Roy Vance Polk. <br><br>SURVIVORS: Wife: Virginia L. Polk of the home. 2 Daughters: Jean Ann Nieves of Houston and Jeri Gragg of Lufkin. 3 Sons: Ross Polk and Russell Polk, both of Galveston, and Ace Randal Polk of Winters. 13 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild. 1 Brother: Chester W. Polk of Milsap. 1 Step-Daughter: Linda Gail Nabors of Pampa. 1 Step-Son: Winfield "Jackie" Cooper, Jr. of Amarillo.
