SERVICES: 11:00 AM Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at the First Baptist Church in Miami with Rev. Lance Wood, pastor, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Corbin was born on May 28, 1905 in the Era community in Cooke County, Texas and she was a lifetime resident of Miami. She was a 1923 graduate of Miami High School and received her B. A. degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene in 1927. She married Dr. Scott Corbin on September 1, 1929 in Miami; he preceded her in death on May 12, 1968. Mrs. Corbin taught math and Spanish in the Miami schools for 22 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She avidly supported several charities and missions including Buckner?s Benevolences, Cal Farley?s Boys Ranch, and Salvation Army. <br><br>SURVIVORS: 2 brothers: George Philpott of Miami and Kint Philpott of Pampa and numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church of Miami or Roberts County Museum in Miami.
