Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Chronister was born on Oct. 20, 1924 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He married Viola hayden on Feb. 8, 1947 in Okmulgee. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1973. He was a field superintendent for Phillips Petroleum for 42 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and was past worthy patron of Stinnett Chapter #347 Order of the Easter Star. He was a past master of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 and was a member of El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory, York Rite Bodies of Borger, and Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo. He was a member of the NRA.SURVIVORS: Wife: Viola Chronister of the home; 1 daughter: Diane Simpson and husband Gail of Pflugerville; 1 son: Allen Chronister of Pampa; 1 sister: Thelma Smith of Hays, Kansas; 4 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.MEMORIALS: Galveston Shriners Hospital, 815 Market St., Galveston, TX 77550-2725 or a favorite charity.
