SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2002, at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, with John Turner, associate minister, officiating.<br><br>BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.<br><br>BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Johnson was born June 17, 1926 in Pampa, he was a lifelong resident of Gray County. He worked for Northern Natural Gas for 31 ½ years, retiring in 1984. He also owned and operated Bill's Custom Campers for the past 38 years, and he farmed in Gray and Armstrong Counties. He married Thelma "Jean" Casity on Jan. 4, 1947 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2000. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War II, serving in the Phillippines, and received the Purple Heart.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Brenda Frazier of Pampa; 3 sons: Jimmy Johnson and wife Elizabeth and Jody Johnson and wife Vicki, all of Pampa; Gale Martin and wife Alice of Midland; 2 brothers: Floyd Johnson of Pampa and Carl Johnson of Hobbs, NM; 1 sister: Ora Thompson of Pampa; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: VA Medical Center, 6010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, TX 79106.
