SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at the Miami Cemetery in Miami, Texas, with Rev. Lance Wood, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Miami, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa, TexasBIOGRAPHY: Mr. Wileman was born July 12, 1920 in Eric, Oklahoma, to Wilber Franklin & Jessie Mae Howard Wileman. He had been a resident of Downey, California for over 50 years. He retired in 1986 from KFI Talk Radio Station as an engineer after having served for 62 years in the profession. Winfred honorably served our country during World War II in the Merchant Marines as a Lieutenant, and spent 2 years overseas during his time of service. Winfred's primary hobby began at the age of 13 as an amateur radio operator, and had reached the extra class level. His call letters were W6A1. He also obtained his pilot?s license and flew his own plane for many years. He was known to be a very social person and enjoyed visiting with people. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. He was always upbeat, very outgoing and honest. He is remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. SURVIVORS: Wife of 61 years: Joyce C. Wileman of Downey, California. 1 Son & Daughter-in-Law: Ronald Wayne & Kathleen Patricia Wileman of Huntington Beach, California. 1 Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law: Bob & Molly Certain of Monroe, Louisiana. 2 Grandchildren: Steven Dennis Wileman and Jay Thomas Wileman. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Ashley Nicole Wileman, Brittney Lauren Wileman, Cayla Brook Wileman, and Austin Ty Wileman. SPECIAL NOTICE: The body will lie in state from 8:00 AM Monday until 9:45 AM Tuesday at the funeral home in Pampa.
