He worked in the oilfield for many years, and retired from Panhandle Equipment after 15 years of service. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. He married Elaine O'Neal on Sept. 18, 1965 in Pampa.SURVIVORS: Wife: Elaine Cooper of the home; 1 son: Winfield B. Cooper, Jr. of Amarillo; 1 daughter: Linda Gail Nabors of Pampa; 2 stepsons: Phillip Fought of Palmura, VA and Jerry Fought of Pampa; 1 stepdaughter: Cynthia Barnard of Borger; 3 sisters: Joann Coker of Pampa and Marion Fowler and Bea Stone, both of Orange, CA; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
