SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Scott Penrod, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral DirectorsBIOGRAPHY: Mr. Tanner was born on April 19, 1918 in Orange, NM. He married Lucille Devers on July 16, 1956 in Clovis, NM. She preceded him in death in 1985. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1981. He was an employee of North Texas State University in Denton for over 16 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War IISURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Vickie Lynn Beaumont of Carthage, Missouri and Sharon Gale Swartz of Buckner, Missouri; 1 son: Jerry L. Tanner of Carthage, Missouri; 2 stepsons: James Devers and Paul Devers, both of Greenville; 1 sister: Anna Lee Grant of Seattle, Washington; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
