SERVICES: The body was donated to Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at First Christian Church, with Rev. Barry Loving, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral DirectorsBIOGRAPHY: Born October 28, 1911 in Perrin, Texas, to Veronica May Judd O'Dell and William Bowen O'Dell. Her Judd ancestors came to America in 1745 and her O'Dell ancestors in 1690. With her family, she moved to Memphis in her early childhood, and to Pampa in 1934. She married Rudy August Mack on January 7, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1981. From 1958 until 1978, Mrs. Mack was employed as public relations director for the Greater Pampa Chamber of Commerce, and continued as a volunteer for an additional 22 years. She was a member of First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for 51 years. For her distinguished and unselfish service in various organizations, Mrs. Mack was honored with several lifetime and honorary memberships: PTA, Pampa Salvation Army Advisory Board, and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Other areas of service include the Democratic Party, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Kidney Foundation, American Red Cross, Gray Ladies' Auxiliary, American Legion, Pampa Community Concert, and AARP chapter president. She was a past member of Altrusa International of Pampa, Pampa Business & Professional Women's Club, Varietas Club, and Pampa and Las Pampas Garden Clubs. In 1965 five chapters of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority named Mrs. Mack "Woman of the Year."
