SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002 at Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Randy White, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Dalton was born on Oct. 22, 1915 in Carter, Oklahoma. He married Ruby Shelton on August 20, 1938 in Elk City, OK. She preceded him in death on Feb. 12, 2002. He managed the White House Lumber Co. in Shamrock for 17 years and accepted the position of manager of the Panhandle Lumber Co. (now Houston Lumber Co.) in Pampa in 1953. He, along with his 2 sons, acquired the business in 1977. Over the years, he acquired and operated a substantial rental property business, along with ranching and cattle interests. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Everyman's Bible Class, Pampa Rotary Club, and Pampa Masonic Lodge #966.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Gary Dalton and wife LaVonna of Pampa and Gregory Dalton and wife Becky, all of Pampa; 1 daughter: Dana Dalton of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren: Derik and Pam Dalton and Trevor Allen, all of Pampa; Monte and Shellie Dalton of Lithia, FL; Brad and Monica Kidd of Arlington; Becca and Luke Holder and Carol Kidd, all of Amarillo; 7 great grandchildren; longtime friends, I. W. and Ola Tinney; and special caregivers, Shirley Tucker, Theresa Wells, and Geraldean Christian.MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, 203 N. West, Pampa, TX 79065.
