SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Fred Palmer, pastor of the Carpenter's Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral DirectorsBIOGRAPHY: Mr. Vickery was born September 13, 1942 in Palestine, Texas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1997, moving from Tyler. He married Darlene Abshire on october 18, 1997 in Pampa. He retired from ACF Industries Railroad in Longview in 1997. While living in Pampa, he worked for Mundy Corp., Der Launder, WalMart, and Rainbow Bakery. He was a member of the Lindale Park Masonic Lodge. He attended the Carpenter's Church in PampaSURVIVORS: Wife: Darlene of the home. 3 Daughters: Anita Boase of Katy, Susan Johnston of Houston, and Tiffany Newburn of Bullard. 1 Son: Joshua Vickery of Tyler. 1 Step-Daughter: Trina Hernandez of Pampa. 1 Step-Son: Jerry Douthit of Pampa. 2 Sisters: Robin Jordan of Houston, and Freida Frits of Huntsville. 3 Step-Brothers: Jerry Wasson of Houston, Forrest Wasson of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Kenneth Wasson of Houston. 1 Step-Sister: Marilyn Wasson of Houston. 13 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Vickery.
