SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2002 at the Jericho Cemetery in Donley County, Texas, with Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Groom, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of PampaBIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Schaffer was born January 30, 1918 in White Deer. She married Gordon Schaffer on August 12, 1935 in Pampa. She had been a lifelong Groom area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of GroomSURVIVORS: Husband: Gordon of the home. 1 Son: Monte Schaffer of Pampa. 1 Daughter: Carolyn Howard of Amarillo. 1 Brother: Ben Barnard of Waco. 1 Sister: Julia McGee of Groom. 5 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Heidel. MEMORIALS: Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, Texas 79101, or the Groom Ambulance Service in Groom.
