Tom Stribling, pastor of the Hunt Memorial Methodist Church of Dumas,officiatingBURIAL: Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of PampaBIOGRAPHY: Mr. Cox was born October 19, 1915 in Wheeler County, Texas. He attended school in Miami and then entered the U. S. Air Force, serving from 1942 until 1945 during World War II. He returned to Miami where he owned a Mobile Service Station for 25 years. He served as Roberts County Commissioner and as Roberts County Judge for a number of years. He was involved in several elected official associations in Miami, and also served as mayor of Miami. He married Modenia Airhart Rahlfs on October 20, 1992 in Miami. They lived in Miami until moving to Amarillo in 1997. He was a member of the American Legion, the Chamber of Commerce, and was on the Advisory Board of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of MiamiSURVIVORS: Wife: Modenia Cox of Amarillo. 2 Stepdaughters: JaNet Lindsey of Abernathy, and Jean Boyles of Amarillo. 1 Stepson: Lloyd Rahlfs of Happy. 1 Sister-in-Law: Mary Cox of Miami.
