She married Creed Smith on Dec. 31, 1949 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 2001. She lived in pampa from 1946 until 1983 and in Clarendon from 1983 until 1999 when she moved back to Pampa. She worked as a bookkeeper for Brooks Electric from 1947 until 1956 and G. E. Jones Electric from 1956 until retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Church of Christ.SURVIVORS: 1 son: Kirk Smith of Hooker, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
