SERVICES: 4:00 PM Saturday at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, Texas, with Dr. Randy White, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Bray was born November 2, 1916 in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Growing up in Gloucester, he had a love of the sea and boats, which continued throughout his life. He received a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts. He married Eugenia Phelps on April 14, 1946 in Pampa, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2001. He had been a resident of Pampa from 1937-1948, and again from 1964-1977. He worked for Cabot Corp. in Pampa, retiring as a production manager after 37 years of service. He had been a resident of Rockport, Texas from 1977 until 1999 when he moved to Loveland, Colorado. He was a member of the American Chemical Society for 60 years. He was an amateur astronomer and built his own telescope. He loved following the weather, charting hurricanes and recording tides. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church while in Pampa, and was currently a member of the Good Samaritan Village Church in Loveland, Colorado. SURVIVORS: Son & Daughter-in-Law: David & Kathy Bray of Cypress, Texas. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Deborah & Steve Stientjes of Loveland, Colorado. 3 Grandsons: Kyle Bray and Adam Bray, both of Cypress, Texas, and Scott Stientjes of Loveland, Colorado. 1 Granddaughter: Tracy Stientjes of Loveland, Colorado. 2 Sisters-in-Law: Billie Phelps of Pampa, Texas, and Ruth Phelps of Lubbock, Texas. 8 Nephews: Bill Phelps, Mike Phelps, Steve Phelps, Paul Phelps, Rob Bray, Ken Bray, Stan Bray, and Jon Bray.
