Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 16, 2012, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, Pampa, Texas, with Pastor Kyle Ohsfeldt of Grace Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ms. Baker was born on July 23, 1929 at Oglesby, TX. Rose married G. F. "Bake" Baker, Jr. on March 26, 1946 in Gatesville, TX. She and her husband moved to Pampa, TX in 1949 where she worked as a nurse at the hospital for 30 years and raised five (5) children. She moved to Hays in January 2008.Survivors include four sons, Barney G. Baker and wife Rose of Knoxville, TN; James F. Baker and wife Donna of Amarillo, TX; Walter H. Baker and wife Connie of Amarillo, TX, and William E. Baker of Hays, KS; one daughter, Patricia R. Stewart and husband Nick of Hays, KS; one sister, Vaun Dean Jennings of Whitewright, TX and one brother, Howard Yeilding of Abilene, TX; six grandchildren, Michael Baker of Amarillo, TX, Cathy McCausland and husband Patrick of Middletown, OH, Tina Baker of Knoxville, TN, Jeremy Baker and wife Jessica of Bossier City, LA, Chris Baker of Hays, KS and Andrew Baker of Alanreed, TX; six great grandchildren, Jack McCausland and Sam McCausland both of Middletown, OH, Zach Baker and Sean Baker both of White Deer, TX, Seth Baker of Tyler, TX and Sadie Blake of Bossier City, LA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, G. F. "Bake" Baker, Jr.; her parents, James Ernest Clinton Yeilding and Julia Mae Choate Yeilding, and five brothers, Hollis Yeilding, Albert Yeilding, Everett Yeilding, S L Yeilding and Ralph Yeilding.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the St. Jude's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
