Ernest ?Ernie? Huddleston, 64, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, in AmarilloMemorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Blossom Matthews, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Ernie was born Aug. 4, 1948 in Beaver, Oklahoma and graduated from Beaver High School. He married Sandy Oler on Jan. 22, 1972 at First United Methodist Church in Pampa. He was an electrician for 15 years and had been a truck driver since 1987. Ernie worked for Affiliated Foods since 2005. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a past Boy Scout leader. Ernie loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he was a great ?PaPa.? He loved remodeling his home, fishing, and reading. Ernie had lived with muscular dystrophy all of his life, but it never stopped him from his activities.Survivors include his wife Sandy Huddleston of the home; 3 sons, Matthew Huddleston and James Huddleston and wife Karin all of Amarillo and Tim Huddleston and wife Toni of Canyon; his parents, Eugene and Pat Huddleston of Logan, OK; a brother, Stanley Huddleston and wife Cherry of Logan, OK; 4 grandchildren, Rebekah, Joshua, Steven, and Thomas Huddleston; a brother-in-law, Steve Oler of Richwood, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ernie was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Huddleston, a nephew, Brian Huddleston, and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Oler.Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
