Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church at 622 E. Francis in Pampa, with Joel Osborne, pastor, officiating. Private family memorial services were held earlier with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Randy was born October 20, 1936 in Englewood, Kansas where he graduated from high school, and attended the Methodist church. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and was an all-star in basketball, track, baseball and football. Randy married Donna Gayle Jones Lamar on August 7, 1964 in Pampa. They spent 48 years as each other?s help-mates. He retired with Kansas Irrigation Engine, Inc. after 25 years of service, and moved to Pampa at that time.He is survived by his wife: Donna Slavick of the home; 3 children: Rhonda Slavick, formerly of Scottsdale Arizona, Debbie Douglas and Mark Lamar, both of Pampa; 9 grandchildren: Kaysi Douglas-Folsom, Cody Douglas, Karli Douglas, Melanie Dunn, Mark Lamar, II, Jennifer Kent, and Dustin Smith; and 9 great-grandchildren. Randy was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred F. ?Fritz? Slavick and Beulah Mabel Slavick; and a great-granddaughter: Heaven Lynn Dunn.
