Norman Lee Sublett, 86, died December 20, 2012 in Amarillo.Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Sublett was born October 16, 1926 in Foard County, and had been a resident of Pampa since 1927. He married Martha Snyder on September 5, 1947 at the Coltexo Community Center. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre, and worked during the war crimes trials of Japanese leaders. Norman was a product inspector and machinist for Cabot/Ingersol Rand/IRI, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a member of the Pampa Country Club and the Men?s Golf Association. Survivors include his wife: Martha Sublett; a daughter: Deborah Howard and husband Robert of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law: Jane Sublett of Dallas. Norman was preceded in death by a sister: Bobbie Jean Sublett in 1932; his mother: Theedas Ward Sublett in 1963; his father: Clarice Lee Sublett in 1974; his sons: Norman Larry Sublett in 1982 and W.
