Paul Carter, 81, died December 25, 2012 in Pampa.Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2012, Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Carter was born August 21, 1931 in Gray County and had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Army Reserve for many years. Paul was a member of Central Baptist Church and volunteered at the Pampa Senior Citizens Center.Survivors include 2 sisters: his twin, Pauline Skidmore and husband Fred of Panhandle, and Fannie Lee Carter of Pampa; sister-in-law: Wanda Carter of Pampa; 4 nephews: Randy Carter and wife Pamela, Bill Carter and wife Deana, and Ronald David Carter, all of Pampa, and Mickey Skidmore and wife Donna of Panhandle; 2 nieces: Christine Pax and husband Virgil of Salem, Missouri and Sherry Mitchell of Panhandle; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by 3 brothers: W. A. Carter, Euel Otto Carter, and Charles Laniel Carter.
