Gary Earl Cady

Gary Earl Cady, 76, died December 25, 2012 in Amarillo.Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa, with Gene Gee, Lefors Church of Christ minister, officiating.Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mr. Cady was born July 1, 1936 in Pampa. He married Jerrie Nell Cox on September 19, 1953 in Pampa. He worked in the oilfield since the age of 14. Gary was a member of the Pampa and Lefors Optimist clubs where he coached Little League baseball. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife: Jerrie Nell Cady of the home; 3 daughters: Lucille Marie Carter of Lefors, Gay Nell Ellis and husband Curtis of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, and Melody Ann Stevens of Paoli, Pennsylvania; 2 sons: Carl Lee Cady of Amarillo and Clyde Randall Cady of Lefors; a brother: Paul Douglas Cady of Houston; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Mary Lou Rankin; a granddaughter: Jennifer Lee Culver; and a grandson: Curt Allen Stevens.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065, or the American Heart Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231.
