Mary O. Hurst

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mrs. Hurst was born October 28, 1921 in Sunset. She attended school in Wheeler. She married Leo Hurst on December 2, 1942 in Amarillo, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Mary had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. She worked in retail sales at JC Penney and Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa.Survivors include her sister: Lanell Waters of Amarillo; a nephew: Waylon Bullard and wife Karla of Del Rio, and 3 nieces: JoAnn Shelton, Leanna Waters and Darla Waters, all of Amarillo. Mary was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Horace Bullard and Jasper Bullard. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065.
