Jay Harstead, 40, of Fritch, died January 1, 2013 in Amarillo.Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Danny Courtney, pastor of First Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Harstead was born March 4, 1972 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and was a longtime resident of Borger and Amarillo before moving to Fritch with his life partner, Brett. Survivors include his life partner, Brett Bontke of Fritch; his parents: William W. and Pamela Lovejoy of Fritch; his in-laws: Wesley and Carma Bontke of Fritch; 2 brothers: David Lovejoy and wife Stacy and Kenny Lovejoy and friend Kristina Sheppard, all of Fritch; brother-in-law: Michael Bontke and wife Erica of Dumas; 7 nieces: Emilee Lovejoy, Hanna Lovejoy, Allison Lovejoy, Kurstin Lovejoy and Makenzie Lovejoy, all of Fritch, and Breanna Bontke and Hayleigh Bontke, both of Dumas; 3 nephews: Kayson Lovejoy, Jaxon Sheppard and Collin Sheppard, all of Fritch; an uncle: R. D. Smith of Fritch. Jay was preceded in death by a nephew: Caleb Lovejoy; his sister: Jennifer Lovejoy; his grandmother: Peggielue Lomison; and his dog; ?Daisee?.Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
