Eva Jean Brown

Eva Jean ?Jeanne? Brown, 79, died January 18, 2013 in Pampa after she bravely battled with kidney disease.Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Brown was born December 10, 1933 in Sayre, Oklahoma, graduating from high school in Sayre. She married Gordon Brown in 1961 in Portland, Oregon. She moved to California in 1962 and worked for the Contracosta Times Newspaper in Walnut Creek, California, retiring in 1996. She had been a resident of Pampa since 2003. She was a loving mother and she will be dearly missed.Survivors include her loving former husband: Gordon L. Brown of California; a son: Gordon J. Brown of Concord, California; and a daughter-in-law: Susie Coffey of Dumas.
