Ellen Pauline Polson Campbell, 83, a longtime resident of Pampa, and a resident of McLean Care Center since 2002, died Thursday, January 24, 2013. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Pampa, with Rev. Jim Fox, IntegraCare Hospice chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Campbell was born March 30, 1929 in Vista, Missouri. She worked at Ideal Foods, Marie Foundation and Furr?s Cafeteria, all in Pampa. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend to all. Ellen was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing crochet, needlepoint and crewel to give to her family members. She remained strong spirited throughout her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Evie Polson; a sister: Doris Hathaway; and her sons? father: Max Campbell.The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for the excellent care given to Ellen by McLean Care Center, the Coronado Healthcare Center, and the IntegraCare Hospice team.Survivors include her four sons: David Campbell and wife Cely of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Gary Campbell and wife Kathy and Hugh Campbell and wife Elda, all of Pampa, and Jimmy Campbell and wife Marty of Montgomery, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
