Lee Edward Eslick, 93, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 in Pampa.Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. James Greer, Director of Missions of the Top O? Texas Baptist Association, and Rev. Albert Maggard, pastor of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Eslick was born Aug. 31, 1919 in Red Hill, Oklahoma to Harrison and Mae Eslick. He lived in Dewar, Oklahoma during his youth and worked in Oklahoma and Arkansas in his young adult years. He shared many happy memories of his childhood such as going out to hunt for food with his dad and pranks he and his seven siblings pulled from time to time. Stories of the hard depression years with his family stayed with him throughout his life. Lee served in the U. S. Army during World War II.Lee married Katherine Elizabeth Lenox on March 24, 1937, and they moved to Pampa in 1944 where he worked in the oilfields for Phillips Petroleum for 39 years. Katherine preceded him in death on March 3, 1996. He later married Wanda Hogue on July 3, 1999 who survives him with her five children. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.Survivors include his wife, Wanda Eslick, of the home; four daughters, Katherine Eslick Becker Hampson and husband Robert of Colorado Springs, CO; Erma Eslick Stanley and husband Norman Lee, I of Fort Myers, FL; Gertie Eslick Jeter and husband Gary, and Denise Eslick all of Lubbock; five stepchildren; six grandchildren, Rhonda Bueche, Rebecca McShane, Norman Stanley, II, Greg Jeter, Cheri Pittman, and Elizabeth Dent; and several great grandchildren. His family spent many happy hours sharing outdoor activities at Joe Dan Camp where his daughters went to Hopkins School through the seventh grade.Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 2217 Perryton Pkwy, Pampa, TX 79065.
