Thompson, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 in White Deer.Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Pastor Gary Snider, associate pastor of Friends and Family Worship Center in Amarillo, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mr. Thompson was born June 29, 1935 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He was raised in the Clinton and Hobart, Oklahoma areas and attended schools there. Paul married Alice Archibald in 1956 in Vernon, Texas. He and his family moved to the Pampa and White Deer area in 1968 where he had resided until his death. Paul worked as a welder and mechanic for Moran Drilling Co. and Sivalls, Inc., retiring in 2000. In his spare time, he liked the outdoors where he enjoyed travelling in his RV and fishing. He also enjoyed his family, especially attending his grandchildren?s sporting events. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.Survivors include his wife, Alice Thompson, of the home; two daughters, Donna Caskey and husband Mike of Pampa and Staci Cochran of Thomas, Oklahoma; a son, Rick Thompson and wife Lucy of Harrah, Oklahoma; a sister, Frances Harless of Hobart, Oklahoma; five granddaughters, Jennifer Harper of Amarillo, Crystal Simms and husband Justin of Noble, Oklahoma, Candra Mizeski and husband Christopher of Mineral Wells, Madison Cochran of Thomas, Oklahoma, and Emilee Thompson of Harrah, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Shawn Caskey of Amarillo and Josh Cochran of New Braunfels; six great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Jack Archibald, and wife Tillie of Altus, Oklahoma, and a sister-in-law, Dollie Orman of Canon City, Colorado. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and three brothers.Memorials may be made to Skellytown Senior Citizens in Skellytown.
