Evelyn J. Mason, 88, died February 19, 2013 in Pampa.Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating.Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Miss Mason was born June 23, 1924 in Wheeler, graduating from Wheeler High School. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1945. She worked as an office manager for the Department of Agriculture in Wheeler and Pampa, retiring after 45 years of service. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ and the Pampa Altrusa Club. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cliff and Ruby Mason; and a sister: Dot Weatherly. Survivors include her sister: Wilma Mason of Pampa; her brother: Carl Mason of College Station; five nephews: Mike Mason, Steve Weatherly, Dan Mason and Chris Mason, all of Amarillo, and Mason Weatherly of North Carolina; and 2 nieces: Dreka Nachlinger of Katy and Jan Cannon of Amarillo.Memorials may be made to Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, 1342 Mary Ellen, Pampa, Texas 79065.
