Ester Mae Landers, 85, was called home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2013 in Lubbock. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Pastor Wesly Smith, officiating.Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Landers was born August 24, 1927 in Tenaha, Texas to Elrie and Mable Nash of Carthage, Texas. She married Earl Landers in 1950 in Fort Worth where they lived until moving to Tyler in 1963. After his death, she moved to Pampa where she lived the remaining 42 years of her life. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Ester worked for Chaney?s Restaurant and was well known in Pampa for her good cooking. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. Ester was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Lucille Mallard; 4 brothers, Elsie Nash, Lewis Nash, Elrie Nash and Johnny Lee Nash; and 2 daughters, Ruby Renell Landers and LeBlenta Rachelle Landers.She leaves to cherish her memories her 5 sons, Earl Landers, Jr., and wife Venora, Jewel Landers and wife Barbara, Harold Landers and wife Christine, Michael Landers and Cornelius Landers; 3 daughters, Mary Ester Brown and husband Lynn, Shirley Landers-Young and Mia Nash; 3 sisters, Lula Mae Diamond, Dora Lee Hunnicutt and Alice Mae Mayberry; 36 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
