Amarillo, TexasClorene Moore, 94, died March 19, 2013 in Amarillo.Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Dean Whaley, Jr., and Glen Walton, ministers of Bell Ave. Church of Christ of Amarillo, officiating.Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mrs. Moore was born April 9, 1918 in Forestburg, Texas to Author Moore and Nancy Hester Moore. She married Boyd Moore on Jan 8, 1943 in Lincoln, Neb. After Boyd served in the U.S. Army during WWII, they settled in Pampa in 1949 where they spent most of their lives.Clorene known to her family as ?Granny? was a nurturer to many. She loved to cook, sew and garden. Because of her love for sewing, she worked as a consultant at Sands Fabrics in Pampa for 17 years. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ where she served on several church committees. In her later years she moved to Amarillo to be closer to family, but always considered Pampa home. She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Moore, her parents Author and Nancy Moore, a brother, 6 sisters and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Bigham and her husband Don of Amarillo and Nancy Hardy of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Derek Bigham and wife Kim, Delinda McKee and husband Brian, Brenan Hardy, Erin Johnson and husband Paul, and Amanda Hardy; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family suggest memorials be to a favorite charity.
