Betty Jane Dills, 88, died April 17, 2013 in Amarillo.Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jimmye Cole, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Dills was born September 27, 1924 in Wichita, Kansas. She was reared in Wichita and attended schools there. She married Richard Dale Dills in 1942 in San Francisco, California. She had been a resident of Pampa since the early 1980?s. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She participated in and taught craft classes at the Pam Apartments. Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, as well as her strong leadership and dedication to her Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Dale Dills; a brother, Jerry Paul Coleman; and a grandson, Benjamin DeMond.Survivors include six sons, Richard Dills and wife Jeanna of Bowers City, Jack Dills and wife Kathy of Aurora, Colorado, Bob Dills and wife Vickie of Belmont, California, Jim Dills and wife Louise of Pampa, David Dills and wife Angela of Elgin, Scotland, and Gary Dills and wife Judy of Eugene, Oregon; a daughter, Dorothy DeMond and husband Greg of Bellingham, Washington; a sister, Madeline Randall of Bethany, Oklahoma; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to Shepard?s Crook Helping Hands, 916 N.
