Berlener Randon, 99, died April 20, 2013, in Amarillo.Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bob Davis, pastor of Progressive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Randon was born on March 4, 1914 in Beckville to the proud parents of James Garfield and Parlee Hicks. She attended schools in Beckville. Mrs. Randon accepted the Lord as her personal savior at an early age. She moved to Pampa in 1940 and married Ted Randon in 1952 in Midland. She worked at the Modern Beauty Salon for several years. Mrs. Randon was a charter member of Progressive Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother and a lifelong devoted servant to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Randon, her parents, 2 brothers, Othel Hicks and Vernon Hicks; and a sister, Odessa Witherspoon.Survivors include her son, James Marcus Randon, and wife Bobbie of Amarillo; a grandson, Christopher Cash, of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Evora Hicks of Midland; and a host of nieces and nephews.Memorials will be made to the Southside Senior Citizens Center, 438 W. Crawford, Pampa, TX 79065.
