Lefors, TexasPhondia Lee Sierman, 75, died May 12, 2013 in Amarillo.Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors, with Gene Gee, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Sierman was born December 19, 1937 in Mangum, Oklahoma. She married Dick Sierman on June 25, 1953 in Borger. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2005. She had been a resident of Lefors since 1966. Phondia retired from Frank?s True Value as a bookkeeper after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of the Lefors Church of Christ and the Lefors Lions Club. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, reading, crocheting and fishing.Survivors include 3 daughters, Becky Hall and husband James of Brookeland, Theresa Ford and significant other Eldridge Trower of Lefors, and Kathy Shook and husband Jim of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Fred Young and wife Karen of Dumas, and Ronney Young and wife Loris of Olympia, Washington; sister-in-law, Phyllis Sierman of Alice; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Sierman; her parents, Pauline and Woodrow Young; a grandson, Christopher Bradley; and a brother, Bennie Young.Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
