LaVonna Hart Mott

LaVonna ?Pat? Hart Mott, 84, died May 20, 2013 in McLean.Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery, with Dale Meadows, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Mott was born February 5, 1929 in Joplin, Missouri. She moved to Texas when she was a young girl, attending schools and graduating from Spearman High School. She married Bob Mott on January 31, 1953 in Spearman. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1976. LaVonna was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved to garden and was an avid reader, sometimes reading up to five books a week. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. LaVonna was considered a miracle baby and would eventually touch many people?s hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Thelma Hart; her husband, Bob Mott; and five sisters, June Adair, Mable Adams, Jean Close, Jewel Hart and Judith Hart.Survivors include her daughter, Lea Morris and husband Larry of Pampa; her son, Stephen Mott of Amarillo; a brother, John Hart and wife Betty of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Stephanie Livingston and husband Kenny of Fritch; and a great-grandson, Key?Shawn Morris of Fritch.
