Amarillo, TexasWT Seitz, 88, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 21, 2013 in Amarillo.Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Fred Beck of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church Chapel in Amarillo, with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.WT was born on July 29, 1924 in Gray County to Ernest and Myrtle Seitz. He was a 1942 graduate of Mobeetie High School and served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945. In 1945, he married Mary Jane White of Pampa, and she preceded him in death after 56 years of marriage. He later married Glyndene Shelton in 2002 in Amarillo.WT received a degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech in 1951 and worked for Southwestern Public Service Company until his retirement in 1989. He retired as Senior Vice-President of engineering and operations. WT was a former member of First United Methodist Church of Pampa and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo where he served as an usher for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ernestene Patton.Survivors include his wife, Glyndene of the home; a son, Dwayne Seitz and wife Cecilia Anne of Tulsa, OK; a daughter, Paula Templin and husband Robert of Monument, CO; a stepson, David Shelton and wife Tammy of Amarillo; three grandsons, Jason Seitz of Oklahoma City, OK, William Thornton and wife Brittany of Monument, CO, and Jonathan Seitz of Tahlequah, OK; and by a granddaughter, Erin Thornton, of Denver, CO.Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
