Lefors, TexasMelba Irene Gunnels Presley, 89, of Lefors, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, in Lefors.Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Briarwood Full Gospel Church in Pampa with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday at Reed Cemetery in Reed, Oklahoma with Rev. Philip Elsheimer, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mrs. Presley was born June 26, 1923 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and was raised in the Kingfisher area. She married Harold Lee Presley on Aug. 10, 1939 in Reed, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1994. Melba had been a resident of Lefors since 1977, moving from Pampa. She was a member of the Briarwood Full Gospel Church in Pampa. She was a self-employed housekeeper for over 30 years.Survivors include a daughter, LaJuan Fowler and husband Roy of Hereford; two sons, Harold Wayne Presley and wife Lavina of Lefors and Kenneth Presley of Lubbock; a son-in-law, Ben Rogers of Pampa; 17 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Melba was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dollie Mae Gunnels, a son, Donnie Lee Presley, a daughter, Johnnie Mae Rogers, a brother, Jack Gunnels, and a sister, Vada Wood.Memorials may be made to Briarwood Full Gospel Church, 1800 W.
