Ella Mae ?Miss Ellie? Hicks, 69, died July 6, 2013 in McLean.Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Skellytown, with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor of First Baptist Church of White Deer, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mrs. Hicks was born June 18, 1944 in Denver, Colorado. She had been a resident of Skellytown for over 45 years, moving to McLean last year. She worked for several caf?s in Skellytown and she enjoyed decorating. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Grace Rhodes, a son, Robert ?Jammer? James Hicks, two brothers, James ?Junior? Strickland and Everett Lee Rhodes, and a sister, Barbara Selvadge. Survivors include her son, William Hicks of Skellytown, two brothers, Robert Rhodes of Ridgecrest, California, and Billy Rhodes and wife Sue of Amarillo, a sister, Betty Wheeler and husband Josh of Pampa, and a grandson, Dakota James Hicks. Memorials may be made to the McLean Care Center, 605 7th Street, McLean, Texas 79057.
