Kenneth Crawford, 80, of Pampa, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Amarillo.Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Hobart Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Watson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Crawford was born on December 8, 1932 in Wynona, Oklahoma. As a young child, his family moved to Skellytown. He attended Skellytown and White Deer schools where he graduated from White Deer High School in 1951. Later he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home, he married Betty Cofer on April 8, 1956 in Skellytown. Kenneth and his wife moved to Pampa in 1977 where they have resided ever since. He was self-employed in Wheeler County. He was a member of Hobart Baptist Church and Pampa Masonic Lodge #966. He liked the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kenneth often would provide music to the local nursing homes.Survivors include his wife, Betty Crawford, of the home; two sons, Neal Crawford of Canadian and Kevin Crawford and wife Donna of Pampa; two granddaughters, Courtney Crawford of Pampa and Meagan Crawford of Lubbock; three brothers, James T. Crawford and wife Ellen of Bay City, David Crawford and wife Ella and Roger Crawford and wife Linda, all of Pampa. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents James and Goldie Crawford, and a brother, G. B. Crawford.Memorials may be made to Hobart Baptist Church, 1100 W. Crawford, Pampa, TX 79065.
