Gearldean Christian, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 5, 2013 in Amarillo.Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Borger, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Christian was born November 16, 1933 in Norman, Oklahoma to William ?Pat? and Beatrice Williamson Darby. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1941. She married Francis ?Frank? Christian on January 1, 1950 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1999. She was a medical aide at Coronado Healthcare Center and Pampa Nursing Center. She also worked for BSA Hospice as a caregiver. Gearldean was a member of Carpenter?s Church. She loved her family very much. Her interests were caring for the elderly and being with family and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. The family would like to express their gratitude to the great nursing staff at Odyssey Hospice of Amarillo.Survivors include two sons, David Christian and wife Teresa of Fritch, and Bobby Christian and wife Rhonda of Borger, two daughters, Linda Vick of Pampa and Theresa Wells of Skellytown, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
