Maxine Annis Liggins

Maxine Annis Liggins, 90, died August 11, 2013 in Pampa.Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Liggins was born August 2, 1923 in Shamrock. She was a 1931 graduate of Lefors High School. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1968. Maxine married Frank Liggins on July 28, 1970. She worked for Cabot Machinery Division, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Maxine was preceded in death by a sister, Floy Lee Washburn, and a son, Neal Van Wallis. Survivors include her husband, Frank Liggins of the home, two sons, Kim Hill Wallis of Kerrville and Kent Wallis and wife Tammi of Farwell, a stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Murphy and husband Frank of Umbarger, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
