Annette L. Griego

Annette L. Griego, 42, died August 9, 2013 in Pampa.Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Father Christopher Schwind, associate pastor at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Miss Griego was born July 9, 1971 in Guymon, Oklahoma. She was a 1989 graduate of Pampa High School. She had been a resident of Amarillo for most of her life, returning to Pampa in 2009 to help take care of her dad as he fought cancer. In November of 2012, Annette graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Kaplan University with an Associates of Applied Science degree in medical transcription. She loved to write poems and enjoyed music. Annette loved her family whom she always surrounded herself with. She was a strong hearted person with whom all her family leaned on for support. She was preceded in death by her father, Gabriel John Griego, Sr., and a nephew, Trae Donovan Griego.Survivors include her mother, Jeanette Griego of the home, a brother, Gabriel John Griego, Jr., and wife DeDe of Plainview, three nephews, Zane Griego and wife Veronica, Kyle Griego, and Dice Griego, all of Plainview, a niece, Calie Griego of Plainview, a great-nephew, Zaden Griego of Plainview, a great-niece, Cadence Griego of Plainview, and her grandmother, Ruth Cordova of Dalhart.
