Willaird Carney Moore

Willaird Carney Moore, 82, died August 18, 2013 in Pampa.Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Wendell Knutson, pastor of First Baptist Church of McLean, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Moore was born November 8, 1930 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He had been a Gray County resident most of his life. He married Janis Mann on June 6, 1959 in Valparaiso, Indiana. Willaird was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Culberson Stowers in the parts department, retiring in 2012 after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hadda Moore, and two brothers, Gilbert Moore and Carl Moore. Survivors include his wife, Janis Moore of the home; a son, James Bond and wife Brenda of Justin; two daughters, Rhonda Sparling and husband Frank of McLean and Kelly Garrison and husband Jed of Channing; 10 grandsons, Donald Harris and wife Jill of Dallas; Daniel Harris, Frankie Sparling and wife Amanda all of McLean; Chris Sparling and Logan Sparling, both of Wichita Falls; Charles Harris and wife Pamela of Amarillo; Mark Bond and Matthew Bond and wife Nicki, all of Justin; Michael Bond of Burleson, and Kelsey Garrison of Channing; three granddaughters, Angel Monson and husband Cody of Hagerman, New Mexico, Michelle Whitlow and husband Jeremy of Perryton, and Haley Garrison of Channing, and 16 great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the VFW Post 1657, P.O.
