Viola Chronister

Viola Chronister, 88, died August 30, 2013 in Pampa.Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Chronister was born April 2, 1925 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She married Johnny Chronister on February 8, 1947 in Okmulgee. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2002. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1973. She was a member and past matron of the Pampa Chapter 65 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the First Assembly of God.Survivors include her son, Allen Chronister and wife Jamie of Skellytown, a daughter, Diane Simpson and husband Gail of Pflugerville, four grandchildren, Laramie Chronister and wife Becky of Sunray, Jeremy Chronister and wife Tonya of McAlester, Oklahoma, Angela Garis and husband Troy of Austin, and Scott Simpson of Katy, and five great-grandchildren, Sydney, Hayden and Ryleigh Garis, and Kyleigh and Colt Chronister.Memorials may be made to the Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381, P.O.
