Louisa Britton, 91, died September 5, 2013 in Pampa.Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Blossom Matthews, pastor of First United Methodist Church, and Rev. Nick Matthews, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Britton was born January 27, 1922 in Hamburg, Arkansas. She was a 1939 graduate of Hamburg High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she majored in electrical engineering and minored in radar/sonar. Louisa married Percy Roudet Britton on September 2, 1945 at Hamburg, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1994. She was a member the Daughters of the America Revolution, Las Pampas Chapter, and was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was active in UMW, bread ministry and visitation, and the Crusaders Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Bessie Serrett, and by a brother, George William Serrett.Survivors include her daughter, Mary Cantrell and husband Tom of Pampa, her son, Bill Britton of Pampa, a sister, Bessie Bell Watson and husband Randall of Decatur, and a brother, John Leslie Serrett of Tyler.
