Emma Leona Varnon Coday, 95, died September 9, 2013 in Waxahachie, Texas.Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 13, 2013, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Eric Varnon, M. Div., officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa, Texas.Mrs. Coda was born February 14, 1918 in Pearland, Texas. She married Howard Milton Coday on November 8, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1995. She had been a resident of Skellytown, Texas from 1955 until 2011 when she moved to Waxahachie to be near her son. Leona was a faithful member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa, Texas. Survivors include her son, Bryan Lynn Coday of Waxahachie, two grandchildren, Kelsey Coday of Parker, Colorado, and Wendy Coday Fisher of Spring, Texas, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Pampa Animal Welfare Society, P.O.
