Jessie Edwards Taylor

Jessie Edwards "Biddie" Taylor, 86, died September 17, 2013 in Pampa.Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Taylor was born May 11, 1927 in Electra. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1933. She married Claude A. Taylor on December 7, 1946 in Pampa. Biddie was employed by Marie Foundations for 13 years and also worked for the City of Pampa water office. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She enjoyed ceramics and especially time spent at the lake with family and friends. Biddie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Inez Edwards, a son, Jerry Taylor, and a sister, Ruth Monce.Survivors include her husband, Claude A. Taylor of the home, her daughter, J?Nell Stiles of Pampa, a sister, Cecelia Geneva of Odessa, a brother, Jack Edwards and wife Judi of Pampa, three grandchildren, Cory Taylor and wife Jennifer of Mt. Blanco, Derek Taylor and wife Jessica of Dallas, and Stacy Whited and husband Charles of San Marcos, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Highland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1301 N. Banks, Pampa, Texas 79065.The family would like to express their gratitude to Integra Hospice for the loving care of their wife and mother.
