Roy LaVerne Corcoran

Roy LaVerne Corcoran, 86, died September 25, 2013 in Pampa.Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Dale Meadows, officiating. Burial will follow in Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Corcoran was born June 13, 1927 in Chilicothe. She married W. E. ?Pete? Corcoran on February 15, 1947 in Shamrock. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1995. LaVerne had been a resident of Pampa for the past 35 years. She was a greeter at WalMart, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. LaVerne enjoyed making ceramics and knitting. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Davis and Shirley Swinney, and her parents, Roy and Effie Johnston. Survivors include a sister, Patsy Poole and husband Virgle of Pampa, and many nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, 1342 Mary Ellen, Pampa, Texas 79065.
