Guadalupe H. Martinez, 69 died on Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Pampa.Vigil will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Schwind officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Martinez was born on July 13, 1944 in Brackettville. He moved from Hart to Pampa in 1971. He worked for Michael Hinkle, Frank's Grocery and Frank's Hardware until he started his own plumbing business. Mr. Martinez was a master plumber and owner and operator of Lupe?s A to Z Plumbing. He was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Maria Martinez, two brothers, Simon Martinez, Jr. and Joe Martinez, and a twin sister Maria Guadalupe Martinez.The family would like to express their thanks to a very special family friend, Julian Ontiveros.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sandefur Martinez of the home, 4 sons, Mac Martinez and wife Carrie of Pampa, Joe Martinez and wife Easter, Guadalupe Martinez, Jr. and wife Alice and Rickey Martinez, all of Plainview, 5 daughters, April Martinez of Pampa, Lisa Lopez and husband Willy, Margie Martinez, Erma Martinez and Jeanie Martinez all of Plainview, 2 sisters, Alice Hernandez of Plainview and Sarah Martinez of Amarillo, and 1 brother, Juan Martinez and wife Ellane of Hart. Mr. Martinez is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
