Jarvis Jean Monk

Jarvis Jean Monk, 77, died October 16, 2013 in Amarillo.There are no services scheduled. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Monk was born January 12, 1936 in Painter, Oklahoma. She married O'Neal Monk on January 20, 1978 in Pampa. She had been a former resident of Panhandle, moving to Pampa eight years ago from Skellytown. Jean was a former member of First Baptist Church in Skellytown. She was a homemaker and loved dancing with her husband. She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Boaz and Asa Logan Boaz, and a brother, W. C. Wiggs. Survivors include her husband, O'Neal Monk of the home, six sons, David Boaz, Danny Boaz, Gary Boaz and Ricky Boaz, all of Lubbock, and Ronnie Boaz and Asa D. Boaz, both of Pampa, a daughter, Linda Davis of Pampa, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Myrt Ensey of Saltillo.
