Glyndene Shelton Seitz

Glyndene Shelton Seitz, 85, died October 21, 2013 in Tulsa.Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, with Jerry Bell, chaplain of Park Place of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mrs. Seitz was born February 7, 1928 to Emmett and Ellen Swindle. She was a 1946 graduate of Pampa High School. She married David L. Shelton on July 22, 1950 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1957. She later married W. T. Seitz in 2002 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in June of 2013. Glyndene worked for Southwestern Public Service for 40 years, retiring in 1993 as a customer service supervisor. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, a member of Altrusa International of Pampa since 1969, where she served as district nine Governor (State of Texas) from 1984-1986. She was also active in community volunteer service organization boards. Survivors include her son, David L. Shelton and wife Tammy of Amarillo, her granddaughter, Katie Sue Shelton of Houston, three great-grandchildren, Noah, Lincoln and Zoie-Bell Reeves of Amarillo, her sister, Joyce Shoulders of Pampa, a nephew, Mike Shoulders of Pampa, a niece, Pat Ellen Chambers and husband Kenneth of Dawn, and family she shared with W. T., Dwayne Seitz and family of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Paula Templin and family of Monument, Colorado. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
