Lynn Harwood

Lynn Harwood, 84, died October 22, 2013 in Pampa.Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mrs. Harwood was born August 8, 1929 in Amarillo and was a 1947 graduate of Happy High School. She graduated from West Texas State College with a B.S. degree in education. She married Bill Harwood on August 8, 1952 in Canyon. She taught school in Portales, New Mexico, Panhandle and Pampa in elementary and special education. Lynn was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, TSTA, and Pampa Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, S. L. and Gene Robinson, and a brother, W. T. Robinson. Survivors include her husband, Bill Harwood of the home, two daughters, Rene Pittman of Amarillo, and Marsha Richardson and husband Jim of Pampa, a son, Steve Harwood and wife Terrie of Mobile, Alabama, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their thanks to BSA Hospice and Jan Britten for their loving care of Lynn.Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 PM Friday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to Community Christian School, P.O.
